Bailey, Zeno
Funeral Service will be 2:00pm Thursday at Crestwood Chapel for Zeno Bailey, age 86 years, of Boaz who died Monday November5, 2007. Pastor Mike Goforth and Brother Bobby Bentley will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
Mr. Bailey was an avid gardener and loved to play the fiddle. He attended Sardis Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War II, having served with the ArmyAir Force in the Pacific Theater. He was a graduate of Auburn University and Ohio State University. He had retired from Eastern Illinois University. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Ruth Bailey; Sons Charles ( Regenia) Bailey and Stephen Bailey; Daughter Elizabeth Anne Bailey; Grandsons: Ashton and Whitton Bailey; Sister Lucille Caine; and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the Sardis Baptist Church building fund or your favorite charity.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from Noon until the hour of service.
