Funeral services will be held  2:30 Wednesday February 23,2022 at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. YuDon "Don" Pearson, age 87 of Gadsden, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.

Don was born September 4, 1934 to Arthur Mat and Ester Puckett Pearson. He was a lifelong

resident of Etowah County.

Don worked hard to provide for his family. Something that was instilled in him as a young man

when he dropped out of school to help his mother support his brother and sisters. He loved his

family and helping others. As an avid Alabama football and NASCAR fan, he rarely missed the

games on Saturday's or the races on Sunday's.

In his early years, Don was a long-time Plaster Foreman with Bob Roberts & Company of

Rainbow City. He owned Nationwide Plastering in the Atlanta-metro area for over 14 years.

Even after retirement, he was called on for his knowledge and skills as a master plasterer.

When he wasn't consulting he was at home tending to his garden and sharing what he had

grown with family and friends. He spent hours on end working in his woodshed, riding his

tractor, or fixing something around the house. His face always lit up when the grandkids were

around. He would sit out on the porch or in a chair in the driveway and take it all in.

Always willing to lend a hand without having to be asked. His frequent donations to the Red

Cross was just another way for him to help others.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Mat and Ester Puckett Pearson, his brother

Gordan Ray Pearson, sisters, Dorthy Pearson, Minnie Freeman, and Faye Brasher. His

daughter Regina Kunaschk, granddaughters Madi-Kate Stovall and Ada Faith Pearson.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Frances Pearson, his children Jason (Sue)

Pearson, Norman (Debbie) Pearson, Deedra (Joey) Koon, 11 grandchildren, and 13

great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lucas Vinson, Jay-Jay Pearson, Gene Pearson, David Lee Vinson, Jeremy

Whitehead, Dustin Thweatt, and Joey Koon.

Special thanks to all the helpers at Visiting Angels, especially Ms. Kayron Johnson, and Kindred

Home Services. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from12:30 until the time of service.
