Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2010 at Crestwood Memorial Chapel for Mr. Yancy Douglas Hardy, age 58, of Gadsden, who died on Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Burial will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Mr. Hardy was a long time resident of Portland, Oregon before moving to Alabama 14 years ago. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Wright Hardy and father, Yancy Douglas Hardy, Sr.
He is survived by his brother, William Brad Hardy, of Gadsden, AL; sisters, Alice Faye Licea, of Portland, OR and Sonia Womack, of Reece City, AL; four aunts; two uncles; and numerous nieces, nephews and untold cousins.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home.
