Graveside services will be held at 2pm Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Young Chapel Cemetery for Wylene Marbut McGinnis, age 83, of Hokes Bluff. Mrs. McGinnis passed away on April 12, 2023. Dr. Rodney Gilmore will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct services.

Mrs. McGinnis was a longtime resident of Hokes Bluff. Her passion was being a devoted grandmother, cheerleader, and cook for her grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Ray McGinnis; her parents Grady and Jewel Marbut and her siblings.

She is survived by her sons Tim McGinnis (Dianne), Todd McGinnis (Cindy), and Chris  McGinnis (Kelley); eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren (with two more on the way); two Sisters in law Catherine Marbut and Donnaleen Marbut; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Mrs. McGinnis's grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff with Alabama Hospice Care.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers Memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.

There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service as per Mrs. McGinnis's request.
