Funeral will be at noon Wednesday January 5 at Crestwood Chapel for Winford Keeling, age 80, of Steele, AL, who died January 2, 2011. Rev. Tim Smith with The Pentecostal Assembly and Pastor Shane Lewis will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct services.
Winford (better known as "Wimp") together with his wife Betty, owned and operated Wimp's Dairy Bar in Steele. He is preceded in death by his mother Mattie Jewel Keeling and father Major Guy Keeling.
He is survived by his wife Betty Keeling and his children and their families: Kerry and Alex Keeling and their child Heather and Grandchild Jillian; Stephen "Steve" and Susan Keeling, and their children Phillip, Chris, and Sally Keeling-Warren; Kim and Denny Norton and their children Kerri and Tyler; and Victor and Vona Keeling and their children Stephen and Nicole.
Pallbearers will be Joel Smith, Nicholas Smith, Randy Huff, Gene Griffith, Stephen Keeling, and Tyler Norton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home tomorrow from 10 am until the hour of service.
