Willie "Perk" Weems Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Crestwood Funeral Home for Willie "Perk" Weems, 82, Gadsden, who died Monday, Nov. 7, 2011. The Rev. Harvey Beck will officiate. Burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge. She was very active in local civic organizations, including Altrusa, A League of Women Voters, United Way and AmeriCorps, to name a few. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ison H. Weems; parents, Wallace and Martha Williams; sisters, Lois Mayo and Eulene Sheffield. She is survived by her brother, Johnny Williams; sister, Zell Griffith; special chosen children, John, Hannah and Emily, who were the loves of her life; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
