William 'Mack' Woodall Sr. | Visit Guest Book Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Crestwood Chapel for William "Mack" Woodall Sr., 82, Gadsden, who died Friday, Feb. 25, 2011. Pastor Joe Mills will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct. Mack was a veteran, having served in both the Army and Air Force. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a hard-working family man who enjoyed traveling, fishing and being the father of 12 children. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He lived to be an example for all of them to follow. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Woodall; parents, Altie and William Woodall; children, Bobby Wise, Billy Woodall, Jean Woodall and two infants, Rosalie and Mary Ann, who died at birth; grandchild, Tammy White; great-grandson, David Brady; and numerous brothers and sisters. He is survived by children, Sandra Taylor, Sue (Gerard) Hollis, Betty Bowen, Charles (Pattie) Woodall, Danny (Charlotte) Woodall, David Woodall, Donald (Brenda) Woodall; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Woodall; sisters, Earline Smith and Alice Faye Ferguson; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Harvey Clontz, Randy Holmes and R.C. Johnson. Pallbearers will be Charles Woodall, Danny Woodall, David Woodall, Donald Woodall, Tim Campbell and Gerard Hollis. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Affinity Home Hospice and St. Vincent's East sixth-floor and MICU staff. Special acknowledgement is also given to Deborah McKnight, Cathy Tucker and Dr. Charlotte Menzel.
