Obituary

Funeral Services will be at 2pm Monday, August 21, 2023 at Duck Springs Baptist Church for William Brian "Rusty" Nance, age 65 of Attalla. He passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Rev. Royce Head will officiate Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct services.
Rusty grew up in Alabama City and was a graduate of Emma Sansom High School. He had the ability to do most anything and had worked the majority of his career at Brice Thomas. He was happiest driving an Eighteen Wheeler or a Harley Davidson. He loved his family and many friends more than anything.
He is preceded in death by his sons Christopher Brian Nance and Donny Young, his parents Red and Virginia Nance; and brother David Nance.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janice Holder Nance; daughter Donna Taylor; grandchildren Zachary Taylor, Brian David Young, Bailee Young, Brayden Young, and Beckham Young; brother Lane (Penny) Nance; sister Samantha (David) Moore; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Taylor, Josh Nance, Kerry Nance, Junior Alexander, "Polkie" Patterson, David "Houndy" Brown, and David Smith.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses, doctors, and staff of Riverview Regional Medical Center for the care the gave Rusty and his family.
The family will receive friends at Duck Springs Baptist Church Prior to the service on Monday from noon until 2pm.
