Funeral service for William Norman Norton, 89, of Gadsden, Alabama will be held on September 7, 2026 at 10am at Crestwood Funeral Home. Jane Ferguson will officiate.

Norman was a graduate of Glencoe High School. He retired from Goodyear after 40+ years of service. He was a master wood craftsman and built many, many sets of cabinets over the years. He was a train enthusiast and built an unbelievable working model in his basement that enchanted all his grands and greats! Norman was a member of First Baptist Church of Glencoe.

Preceded in death by: parents Vince and Hazel Norton, wife Lynette Norton, son Allan Norton, son in law John Klepsig.

Survived by: children Tracy Klepsig, Zach (Carrie) Norton, daughter in law Christi Norton, grandchildren Jamie (Daniel) Bolen, Sam (Kali) Norton, Katelyn (John) Marquis, Callie (Daniel) Gaither, Aubry Norton, great-grandchildren Leah Kate Klepsig, Anderson and Sedona Norton, Grady Gaither, Jake and Jayce Marquis, siblings Wanda (David) Hyde, Grady Norton, Judy (Craig) Colvard, Rita Hall.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society at American Cancer Society/donate or St. Jude’s at stjude.org/donate.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Bolen, Sam Norton, Daniel Gaither, Randy Clifton, Geoff McKnight and Scott Harris.

Visitation will be from 10am - 11am on 9/7/26 at Crestwood Funeral Home. There will be a private family graveside service following.
