Jack retired from Goodyear after 42 years of dedicated service. Jack was a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church. He loved Jesus, his family and his friends. He had many activities that he delighted in sharing with others - gardening, hunting, farming, golfing, horses, fishing and life. Many were recipients of his garden vegetables and could count on him to help with bush-hogging or other chores; many enjoyed watching him ride his horses, dealt with his hay business, played golf with him, fished with him and watched his boundless energy working. He also was a good cook and enjoyed trying new recipes in his retirement years. He was known as the "fun granddaddy" for all the equipment and fun things and good food he provided when his grandkids came to visit.
Jack will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 69 years, Pauline H. Wright; and daughters, Dr. Lynne Wright (Robert O'Rourke), Jacqueline (Jim) Hinton, Lisa (Steve) Garmany; six grandchildren, Lauren LeCroy, Kayla Hinton, Erin Obed, Jordan Stribling, Mackenzie Garmany and Slate Garmany; and two great-grandchildren, Addy and Audrey LeCroy. He is also survived by two sisters, Audrey (Clyde) West and Dean Manning. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Lillie Wright.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
The family received friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
