Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. Ed Barron age 75 of Gadsden who died Sunday August 17th. The Reverend Wayne Craig will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
He was owner and operator of Ed's Front End Services for 25 years. He was also a gifted woodworker and loved to work on sewing machines. He loved gardening and Alabama football.
Mr. Barron was preceded in death by parents Clifford and Esther Barron, brothers Silvey and Jim Barron ,sister Jeanette Odel, sister in law Debra Barron .
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Billie Harcrow Barron, brothers and sisters Alvin (Pat) Barron ,Mark Barron ,Geneva(Wayne) Butler ,Ruth Barron, Hazel Barron, brother in law Frank(Diane) Harcrow, sister in law Dorothy Barron and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Barron , Chris Barron ,Punch Haney ,Curtis Sims ,Gary Ivey and Randy Rogers.
Special thanks to Drs. And nurses and staff of the S.I.C.U unit of Gadsden Regional Medical Center as well as Lynn Barron Adams.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 11 am until the time of service.
