Funeral Service will be at 4pm Sunday, November 18 at Crestwood Chapel for Wesley Kermit Preston, age 92, Gadsden who died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007. Rev. Jan Stanley will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct.
Mr. Preston was a native of Cleburne county, but lived the majority of his life in Etowah County. He had retired from Republic Steel and was also a wholesale car dealer. He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years. Olivia Preston.
He is survived by his Son, Kenneth (Peggy) Preston; Grandsons, Keith Preston , Phillip (Tiffany) Tigue, David (Gina) Tigue, Andrew (Raven) Edwards; Granddaughter, Kim Light; Great Grandchildren, Jody Brown, Kolby Preston, Braxton Light, Nevaeh Tigue, Angelina Tigue, Mallory Tigue, Maddie Pruitt, and MacKensie Edwards, all of Gadsden; Sister, Ila Preston Chapman; a host of Nieces and Nephews.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jamie Ellis, Frances Love, Southern Care Hospice Staff, Dr. H.Patel,6th floor nurses and staff of Riverview Regional.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.
