Wanda Scott, age 72, of Southside, Alabama, passed away on August 31, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on September 8, 2026, at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Brother Kenneth Jacobs will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Wanda was a loving wife, mother, friend, and sister. She loved her family and enjoyed watching and listening to the Gaithers on YouTube. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Wanda was a beautician and loved flowers and working in her yard.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vernice Mitchell; father, P.W. Mitchell; brother, Byron Mitchell; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vivian and James Scott.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Scott; son, Christopher (Faith) Scott; daughter, Sheree (Johnny) Bates; grandchildren, Devin Mangham, Cody Mangham, Kadence Scott, Kayne Scott, and Kyler Scott; step-grandchildren, Jessie (Mikayla) and Amber Bates; sister, Shirley (Terry) Hale; brother-in-law, Jerry (Sharron) Mitchell; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons International and Ronald McDonald House.

Pallbearers will be Keith Brown, Cody Mangham, Tom Talley, Danny Sims, Jay Daugherty, and A. Ridlespure.
