Graveside services will be at 2pm TODAY at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery for Walter Clyde "Dub
Jordan, 89, of Gadsden who went to be with his heavenly father on October 1, 2013. Services will be directed by Crestwood Funeral Home.
Dub was a U.S. Navy veteran and honored plank owner aboard the U.S.S. "Fighting Lady" Yorktown CV-10 during its service in the Pacific campaign of World War II.
He is preceded in death by his father E.T. Jordan and his mother Clyde Bell Jordan. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nadalie (Lee) Jordan, sons Bruce (Sandy) and Craig (Loretta) Jordan, sister Dorothy (Ellis) Rosser, grandchildren Stephen R. Jordan, Benjamin Jordan, Hunter (Jordan) Robinson, Susannah (Jordan) Odle, great-grandchildren Parker Robinson, Olivia Robinson, Emma Jordan, Brody Jordan, and Brennen Odle, Aunt Waltsteen Cowart and Special friends Don and Francis Smith.
Pallbearers will be cherished friends and family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
The family will receive friends from 12 until 2pm today at the funeral home.
