Obituary

Funeral services for Wallace Wesley Brown, 92, of Glencoe, Alabama, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Crestwood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Crestwood Funeral Home is honored to serve the Brown family.

Wallace was born on July 27, 1934, in Glencoe, Alabama. He was a longtime and active member of New Hope Baptist Church, where he faithfully served and worshiped.

Wallace retired from Goodyear after 30 years of dedicated service. He also proudly served his country as a Specialist with the 525th Engineering Company of the United States Army, stationed in Toul, France, from 1957 to 1959.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Viola Pearce Brown and Elbert Eli Brown, and his brother, Marvin Brown.

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Sadie Marie Wagnon Brown; his children, Rhonda Robinson (Bobby), Myra Arrington (Hootie), and Vann Brown (Gina); his grandchildren, Haley Traub (Ryan), Adam Arrington (Kellie), Austin Brown (Becca), Mason Brown (Madelyn), Caleb Robinson (Nicki), and Blaire Brown (Braxton Alford); and his great-grandchildren, Slade Arrington, Levi Traub, Sadie Ruth Arrington, Cali Rae Robinson, Ben Brown, Will Brown, Darbi Robinson, and Eva Jo Brown.

Wallace was a man who enjoyed his work and took great pride in helping others. He was known for doing good things for people and giving of himself whenever he could. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Wallace was truly a great man who will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
