Funeral will be 2 pm Sunday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Virginia "Jenny" Perkins age 89 of Gadsden who died Wednesday. Reverend Ray Johnson will officiate . Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Ms. Jenny though small in stature was fierce in love with a huge kind heart. We will celebrate her life for it was a life worth celebrating. A Christian first, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother with a quick wit, delightful sense of humor, and inspiring grace and humility. She will be missed, but she will be remembered with love, affection, respect and fondness by all who knew her and remember that warm, kind smile and piercing blue eyes.
She is preceded in death by her husband Barton William Perkins.
She is survived by children Ronnie Perkins, Mike Perkins, Bobby (Delilah) Perkins, Tommy Perkins, Cindy(David) Harrison,9 grandchildren,7great great- grandchildren and a large extended family.
The family will receive friends at the funeral Home Saturday from 4 until 6 p.m.
