Virginia "Carol" StomBaugh, age 80, of Gadsden, passed away on October 14th, 2025.
A funeral service will be held at Crestwood Funeral Home on Friday, October 17th, 2025, at 2 p.m. with Tommy Marshall officiating. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.
Carol will be remembered first and foremost as a devoted Christian. She loved her church family deeply and lived her faith daily. She also enjoyed Alabama football, cooking, and sharing meals with those she loved. Above all, Carol's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry StomBaugh; brother, Richard Sanders; and sister, Kay McCain.
Carol is survived by her sons, Craig and Jeremy Bowman; cousin, Larry Napper; and her loving family, including 25 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will also be fondly remembered by her dear friend, Nancy Wallace.
Carol's presence brought love and laughter to every gathering. Her memory will continue to inspire those blessed to have known her.
