Funeral will be at 4 pm today for Mrs. Virginia "Granny" Jones age 92 of Gadsden who died Wednesday. Reverends Billy Boatwright and Geoff Elrod will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

She was loving, kind and talented. She gave away furniture to cars, if she thought you needed it she gave it to you. She crocheted and did crafts in general. She loved her church and volunteered whenever she could, especially with the children whom all referred to her as Granny. She was a Christian and kind beyond words, and a loving wife, mother, and granny to all and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Jones; parents, Robert and Mary Gerber Stovall; brothers, Dallas and Wilbur Stovall; and sister, Ruth Brown.

She is survived by her children, Rosemary and Terry Hyatt, Jimmy and Anita Jones, Jan and George Elrod, Glenn and Marilyn Jones; grandchildren, Anita, Rodney, Geoff, Wendy, Greg, Tim, Meridith, Kathy, Mark, Tammy, Jana, Chris, Lana, Tony, Jay, Krimson, Taryn, Bryan, Jennifer, Joey, Kristen; twenty-two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister, Undean Epperson.

Visitation will be Today at the Funeral Home from 2 PM until the time of the service.
