Virginia Louise Thrift Head (June), age 91, passed away on Friday, March 4. She was born on June 14, 1930, in Gadsden where she spent most of her life. June graduated from Gadsden High School and was a faithful member of North Gadsden Baptist Church and later Bellevue Baptist Church.

June was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bobby) Head; her father L. D Thrift; her mother Magnolia Thrift Gartman ; and her stepfather Robert Hillman Gartman . She is survived by her son Robby (and Ola) Head and her granddaughter Whitney Head. She will be missed by many family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alabama Singing Men Scholarship Fund.

Friends and family members are welcome to celebrate her life and spend time with family at Robby's home on Sunday afternoon, March 6, from 3:00-5:00 pm.
