Mrs. Virginia Martin Harvey, age 80, of Gadsden passed away on January 10, 2021. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday January 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Crestwood Cemetery. Paul Barnett will officiate.

She was a lifelong resident of Gadsden. She graduated from Gadsden High School and then Keevil  Kurl Cosmetology School. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed ceramics, flowers, plants, and shopping and she loved her grand dogs.

Mrs. Harvey is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Myron Harvey, daughter Paige Sims, parents Nathan "Bunk" and Geraldine Martin, sisters Dolores Barnett and Linda Brown, nephew Keith Barnett, brother in law Carlton Barnett, and niece Lynn Barnett.

She is survived by her daughter Kelley (Randy) Sims, grandson Aaron Sims, sisters Elaine (Bob) Mynatt and Sarah Barnett, brother Nathan Martin, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests plants instead.
