Obituary

Mrs. Booker was Born in Virginia But resided for most of her life in Glencoe Alabama. She was known to almost everyone as "Mawmaw". MawMaw was devoted to her family whether as a Scout Leader, band parent, counselor, chauffeur, cook, seamstress, babysitter or "MawMaw" School Teacher. "Plundering" as she called it, was one of her delights as she would grab one of her grandchildren and off they would go to a thrift store to uncover hidden treasures. Her greatest joy was gathering her family around her for a meal and reminiscing about old times. She loved to laugh, and one of her favorite sayings was "It;s just as easy to be happy as not".
She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years and love of her life ,George T. Booker Sr. parents William  Andrew (Will) Gregory Sr. and Margaret Bradley Gregory; brothers William Gregory, Charlie Gregory, and James Gregory; and son-in-law, David Chumley.
Left to treasure precious memories are her daughter, Kathy Chumley, son, Thomas(Vickie) Booker, Michael(Anne) Booker, daughter Karen(Kyle) Trippe; 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
