Ms. Vickie Lynn Whaley, 66, of Glencoe, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018.  Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, October 1, 2018 at Crestwood Funeral Home in Gadsden. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Reverend Thom Harrison and Rev. Ed Saxon will officiate. Burial at Plunkett Cemetery.

She was a graduate of Glencoe High School where she played flute in the marching band. She sang and toured with the Alabama singing women, she also sang at many funerals and weddings.  She was a devout Christian and member of Bellevue Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ira J Whaley and her brother, Ira Keith Whaley.

Vickie is survived by her mother Betty Jo Whaley, sister Karen (Ed) Saxon, niece Corie (Bob) Stawicki and nephew, Jonathan (Shanna) Saxon and 7 great nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends and family. She will be greatly missed.
