Vernon Hugh Oden's Obituary
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Crestwood Memorial Chapel for Mr. Vernon "Bunk" Oden, age 80, of Rainbow City, who died on Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Burial will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Mr. Oden was a veteran of the Korean War and retired from LTV Steel.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Oden; brother, Willard Oden, of Southside and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.
Special thanks to Dr. Shah, the nursing staff at Riverview Regional Medical Center and to the Alacare Hospice team, and to the sitters and caregivers.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 p.m. unitl 7:00 p.m. at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home.
