Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Liberty Holiness Church for Verna Jewell Wright, age 85, of Glencoe who died Friday. Pastor David Horton will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery Hokes Bluff Alabama. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Mrs. Wright loved to work in her home as well as her church. Her husband lovingly referred to her as a workaholic. She will be remembered for her cooking as well as being a charter member of Liberty Holiness Church. She was active in helping at the church as long as her health permitted. She loved all people and they loved her, and she will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Allene LeCroy; and brothers, Hugh and Ray LeCroy.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Eugene Wright; son, Gary Wright.
Pallbearers will be Mike LeCroy, Judd, Jay and Justan Pruitt, and Cody and Caleb Shaneyfelt.
The family will receive friends at the church tonight starting at 6 p.m.
