Funeral Services will be at 11:00AM Thursday at Crestwood Chapel for Velda B.Amberson, age 71 , Gadsden, who died Monday, December 31, 2007. Brother John Crosley will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Amberson was a member of Whorton Bend Methodist Church for 10 years. She was also a member of Noccalula Civitans. She was a loving wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Lucy Benefield.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles A. Amberson; Daughter, Judy (Patrick) Patterson; Sons Gary (Brenda) Amberson, Glen (Cheryl) Amberson, and Robert (Denise) Amberson; Nine Grandchildren; and Four Great Grandchildren.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 pm.
