Celebration of life will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28th, 2014, at Crestwood Funeral Home for Tom A. Carden, age 75, of Gadsden, who died October 26th, 2014. Brother Mark Cosby, Brother Thom Harrison, and Matt Rose will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29th, 2014. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
Tommy owned Carden Insurance Agency for 47 years and was a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He was a founding partner and shareholder of Corporate Pharmacy Services and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 498. Tommy was a born-again Christian of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John T. Carden and Lila Glass Carden; and his stepmother, Ollie Jones Carden.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Betty Cosby Carden; daughters, Kathy (Zac) Allsup, Debby Carden, and Lana (Alan) McCay; grandchildren, Mike (Stephanie) Skelton, Chris (Cory) Skelton, Carden McCay, and Carlee McCay; great-grandchildren, Garrett Skelton, Sydney Skelton, Stone Skelton, and Cash Skelton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Atlanta Hope Lodge, 1552 Shoup Court, Decatur, GA 30033.
Honorary Pallbearers are all his Briar Meade and Gadsden Country Club golfing buddies.
