Funeral services will be 11 am Monday April 14,2025 at Crestwood Chapel for Reverend Larry Brooks, age 82, of Munford formerly Gadsden, who died Friday April 11,2025. Tim Diggs and Harold Coe will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery.

Larry will be remembered for his love of The Lord, family and fishing. He retired from the steel plant and was a proud Air Force Veteran who fought in The Vietnam War.

Larry was a man of God and never met a stranger. He had a smile for everybody and was usually singing. He was a family man who loved his family dearly, opinionated but a good listener as well. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by son Larry Wayne Brooks and parents James and Josephie Brooks and brother Jimmy Brooks. He is survived by wife of 60 years Ramona, son Robby(Missy) Brooks, grandchildren Newt (Kaylee) Brooks. Arial(Cody) Alford, Daughter in law Mishaela Brooks and nephew and numerous cousins. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Read, all of his former church family from churches in 3 counties he pastored in.

Special thanks to the staff of Enhabit Hospice and The V. A. for all their help in Larry's final days and especially grandson Newt for showing what true love is between a grandfather and a grandson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday April 13,2025, from 2 until 4 pm.
