I was going to write a obit for the Gadsden times  but few people even take the paper any more . So I'm writing it here for all to see :

MR . Terry Len Cleveland passed away today March 26 ,2021 . Born to Eloise and Roy Cleveland Sr. Nov 20 1953 . The younger brother of Roy Cleveland Jr and little did he know he would be my big brother . We fought like all children do ,  He always managed to tear up every toy I ever had . Of course that's what big brothers do . Lol but little did I know we would change places in a few short years .

Three days before his 17 th birthday he had a motorcycle wreck , with tramatic head injury and multiple broken bones . After a lot of arguing my mom won her fight to bring him home , on a feeding tube , and catheter he lay in bed for months . But to our surprise he began to talk and after years in a wheel chair and years  of trying , falling , breaking more bones  he learned to walk .but he never got his balance back completely . He was  my baby brother from then on . I quit school to help my mom with him , and he called me his big sister .

He had many heartaches through the next 50 years the loss of his child , his wife , our parents and grandparents . But he loved his nieces and nephews s . One especially Malisa who for the past five years has fought for him , cried endless tears when she couldn't see him , drove every week to tuscaloosa to see him even if it was for one hour . I hope she knows how much I appreciate and love her for her dedication to him . And how dearly he loved her .

Terry is preceded in death by his parents Eloise and Roy sr . His grandparents mrs Willie Elliott , and Sis and RT Cleveland .

He is survived by One brother Roy Cleveland Jr , one sister Joann Whisenant ( Eugene Whisenant . )

Nieces Malisa Missika  ( Thierry )  Lindsey LeAnn  Skipper ( Dewayne ) , Christy Payton , Karen Cleveland Lett , miss Brandy Medlin.

His nephews Wes Johns , Wade Cleveland , Chad Cleveland .several great nieces , and nephews , with his beloved nephews who spent a lot of time with him Ross Missika and Erik Williams and his niece Emilee Cleveland  (Woodrow Brown)  he loved them coming to tuscaloosa to visit him . And two great great nieces miss Adalyn and miss Ellie .

Funeral will be at Crest Wood cemetery in east Gadsden  Wed march 31 ,2021 with the Rev James Whisenant officiating .  It will be a grave side service with no visitation before it . We have planned on 1:00  all that loved him are welcome .

Plus  I would like to give special thanks to Mrs January Johnson Millican  for all that she has done for us and for getting him moved back to Gadsden where he could be cared for .
