Funeral services for Tacie Ruth Foreman Thomas, 80, of Gadsden, who went to her Heavenly home Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, will be Monday, Nov. 14, at Crestwood Chapel. The Revs John Kerns, George Creel and Jeremy Beck will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Lyverel Thomas; and her beloved twin daughter, Glenda Faye Thomas; parents, Luther and Ruth Foreman; and her sisters, Lorraine (John) Potts and Leona (Hiram) Miller. She is survived by her twin daughter, Brenda Thomas Hardeman and son-in-law, Claude Hardeman; grandsons, William Dewey and Jesse Thomas Hardeman; brother, James Foreman; brother-in-law, David (Linda) Thomas; nieces, Judy Hill, Jeanette Monski and Susan Stedman, Terry Johns, Laura Guyton, Ellen Cochran; and a host of much loved nieces and nephews Mrs. Thomas was a native of Gadsden. She was of the Methodist faith and taught Sunday school most of her life. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and did so for many years. Her relationship with the Lord was of the utmost importance to her. She read and studied her Bible every day and enjoyed an active prayer life. She taught her twin girls from the Bible faithfully. She attended McCauley's Chapel United Methodist Church and Union Hill United Methodist and First Presbyterian churches over the years. She was married to Lyverel for 57 happy years. She enjoyed her family and their dinners together. She also enjoyed her friends and church. She was a 1949 graduate of Etowah High School, where she was a cheerleader. She enjoyed witnessing Christ's Love to all she met. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Logan, Daniel Hardman, Kenneth Teele, Phillip Patterson, Swain Morris and Marvin Rhodes. The family will receive friends Monday from 10 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
