Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crestwood Chapel for Steven Christopher Morris, 9, of Gadsden, who died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012. The Rev. Alan O'Bryant, Chaplin Gordon Pugh, and the Rev. Don Millican will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge. Steven went to be with our Lord after battling a long illness; he touched many lives. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lonnie Morris; grandmother, Bobbie Jo Morris; and uncle, David Morris. He is survived by his parents, LeRoy and Bonnie Morris; siblings, Adam Morris, Krystal Morris, John Morris, Tiffany Morris, Charles Morris, Chris Morris and Coty Morris; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special nana, Sarah Norman. Pallbearers will be Dr. David Lozano, Keith Gaskin, Adam Gaskin, David Millican, Glen Snead and Josh Norman. Honorary pallbearers will be doctors, nurses, respiratory and support staff on the Pulmonary Floor at Children's Hospital. Special thanks to Barbara Read, Donna Slayton, Erin Kattus, Dr. Lozano, Karen Walker, Rural Metro Ambulance Service, Gadsden Fire Department and Gadsden Regional Medical Center Emergency Room. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
