Steve Arthur Madrie Sr., age 69, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends.

Born on April 17, 1957, Steve lived a life defined by hard work, kindness, and a generous heart. He was someone who could always be counted on, offering a helping hand, words of encouragement, or simply his quiet presence when it was needed most. Those who knew him will remember his sense of humor, his resilience, and the deep love he had for the people in his life.

Steve proudly served in the military as an Army Specialist 4 (MOS 51J). He was active in the the American Legion Post 114 as well as the Lions Club. He volunteered for various activities including the yearly holiday party where he captured the essence of Santa.

Above all else, Steve cherished his family. He took great pride in being a father, grandfather, relative, and friend. The lessons he taught through his actions of integrity, compassion, perseverance, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his memory will forever be a source of comfort, strength, and inspiration.

The family invites all who knew and loved Steve to celebrate his life and remember the countless moments that made him so special. His legacy is not measured by the years he lived, but by the love he gave and the lives he touched.

Steve is proceeded in death by his mother Shirley Hamilton, brother Willis Madrie, significant other Rebecca Bearden.

Steve is survived by his Children Steve Madrie Jr. (Welky Lai), Christy “Cricket” Madrie; grandchildren Victoria Madrie, Elliot Madrie, Nikelas Collins; Siblings Norma Williams (Ralph Williams), Walter Madrie (Vickie Madrie), Allen Carroll (Patti Carroll, Angela Collins (Robert Collins), Jimbo Bearden (Kim Bearden), Kenny Bearden (Rhonda Bearden); Cheeished lifelong friends Robert Moxley (Glenda Moxley) and a large circle of extended relatives and family.
