Funeral will be 2 pm Friday, Nov. 14, at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Shirley Wright age 70 of Gadsden who died Wednesday, November 12, 2014. Chaplain Matthew Rose will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral is in charge of services.

Mrs. Wright had varied interests during her lifetime. When her health allowed she created beautiful stained glass artwork. And in later years she developed a passion for the internet much to the surprise of her family. She had a great love for animals and was a loving wife, mother and friend to all and will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents Claude and Annie Phillips, three brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard; and sons, Gregory and Christopher (Cynthia) Wright.

In lieu of flowers she requested donations to Humane Society Pet Rescue and Adoption Center: 4200 Brooke Ave., Gadsden, Al 35904.
