IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shelley Gwynne
Hale
September 14, 1953 – December 13, 2025
Shelley Hale, age 72, of Rainbow City, passed away on December 13, 2025. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Shelley will be lovingly remembered for her vibrant love of life. She found joy in beaches, concerts, and cheering on Alabama football, but above all, she cherished her family dearly and was known as the feisty, spirited heart of it. Shelley especially enjoyed spending time at the lake in Leesburg, where she loved fishing and boating. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Shelley was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Gwynne Coker; her brother, Johnny Coker; and her nephew, Joseph Coker.
She is survived by her siblings: Tommy (Rhonda), Jeff (Debbie), Margaret (Lee) Johnson, and Dixie Ferguson; and by her nieces and nephews: Jason (Jenny) Coker, Andrea(Nathan) Gatlin, Angela (Wes) Crumpton, Matt (Mickey) Johnson, Chris (Afton) Johnson, Kevin (Brittany) Johnson, Chad (Brandy) Ferguson, Emilie(Colby) Ferguson, and numerous beloved grandnieces and grandnephews—Madison, Trevor, Caleb, Jaidyn, McKenzie, Jared, Wesley, Kolby, Karli, Cooper, Tucker, Bryce, Cameron, Charlee, and Livie Grace.
The family extends special thanks to her cousins Sandra, Suzannah, Dena, and Anna; to Davita Dialysis; and to the staff of Mountain View, where Shelley worked faithfully for over 24 years.
