IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharon Kate
Tate Eblen
July 28, 1968 – April 17, 2025
Sharon was born in Gadsden Alabama on July 28,1968 living there until she was 14. She
moved to Huntsville Alabama with her mother where she attended and graduated from
Buckhorn High School. After graduating high school she attended The University of Alabama in
Huntsville earning her degree as a registered nurse. She worked at Huntsville Hospital as a
critical care nurse for several years before eventually moving to Atlanta Georgia and continuing
her nursing career which spanned more than 32 years.
She was compassionate, caring, loving, and dedicated to her family, friends, and patients. But,
the caring and compassion also came with a quick wit, sass, and sarcasm. She loved a good
joke and a good prank. And more often than not if it crossed her mind it came out of her mouth.
The loss of a beautiful soul such as Sharon leaves a wound that can never be healed. But, she
would not want us to mourn her death, she would want us to celebrate her life and to love and
care for one another unconditionally. As long as we keep her memories alive in our hearts she
will always be with us. As she was an angel on earth, so shall she be in Heaven. She will
always be loved, She will always be missed, She will never be forgotten.
Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Syble K. Tate, father, William C Tate, and brother
Michael B. Steele.
She is survived by her daughters Kari Eblen and Laura Eblen, brothers, Terry D. (Denise)Steele
and Jeffrey P. Steele, sister-in-law, Emily Deavor, aunt, Joyce Collins, nephews, Philip
