Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Crestwood Chapel for Sarah C. Moon, 91, of Gadsden, who passed away January 13, 2014. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct the service.
Mrs. Moon was a graduate of the Holy Name of Jesus Hospital (now Riverview Regional Medical Center) and was affiliated with the hospital for 30 years. She was a member of East Gadsden United Methodist Church for 50-plus years.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Emily Egan; grandson, Michael Egan; her parents; her sister; and her brother.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Robert Moon; daughter, Debbie (Eddie) Johnson of Birmingham; son, David (Debbie) Moon of Glencoe; grandchildren, Robbie (Staci) Egan, Beth (Patrick) Woodall, Angie (Jason) Stabler, Taylor Moon, Melissa Moon and Phillip Moon; and six precious great-grandchildren.
The family will accept flowers, of if you wish to make a contribution to East Gadsden United Methodist Church, that would be appreciated.
Honorary pallbearers are Robbie Egan, Roger Harden, Eddie Johnson, Leon Reeves, Jerry Hall, Phillip Moon, Bobby Chandler and Dennis Egan.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
