Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Sarah Minshew Driskell, 92, of Rainbow City, who died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012. The Rev. Bobby Winningham will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Porter and Clevela Minshew; husband, Wilbur L. Driskell; son, Donnie Driskell; daughter, Linda Tillery; and four brothers and one sister. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Donnie) Winningham, of Rainbow City, and Brenda Driskell, of Huntsville; daughter-in-law, Joyce (Jim) Hall; and son-in-law, Ronnie Tillery; eight grandchildren, Patricia (Buster) Winningham, Ron (Ann) Tillery, Shaunee Tillery, Dawn (Pat) Golwitzer, Chris (Brandie) Driskell, Lance (Robyn) Driskell, Dionne (Michael) Heath, and Allen (Danielle) Winningham; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chris Driskell, Lance Driskell, Allen Winningham, Michael Heath, Buster Winningham and Ron Tillery. Special thanks to Gadsden Health Care and Rehab nurses and staff; Lawley Hospice nurses and staff; and to her special friend, Lucy Miller. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
