Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday April 5, 2021 for Mrs. Sara A. Bankson, age 85, of Gadsden who passed away on April 2, 2021. Pastor David Bankson will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ceborne C. Bankson, grandson Tommy Harp, parents Vincent and Julie Samford, sister Frances Henry, and brother Windell Jack Samford.

Mrs. Bankson is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (David) Harp of Altoona, grandsons Matthew and Jeremy Harp, sisters Martha Gardner of Gadsden and Hazel (Billy) Smith of Texas, brother Vincent (June) Samford Jr. of Jacksonville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to issue a special thanks to Tyler and all of the other nurses with Amedisys Hospice for all of the love and care they offered during Mrs. Bankson's final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Amedisys Hospice.

Visitation will be on Monday at the funeral home lasting from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
