Sandra (Sandy) Payne McNair passed away on September 20, 2018. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Crestwood Funeral Home. Brother Clint Moon will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. There will be no graveside service. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Sandra was a graduate of Gadsden State Nursing School and went on to practice as a registered nurse full time for many, many years. She was a member of James Memorial Baptist Church and she loved life. She received a double lung transplant on March 24, 2016.

She is survived by her mother Ruby Pruitt Payne, her son Josh (Tanya) Beck and Wes Hagood, her special friend Mary Ann (Larry) Amm, her dog Jack, and numerous other friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charles McNair, father Jerry Payne, and grandparents Ola and Frank Pruitt.

Pallbearers will be cousins.

Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Asif Kaleem and staff, Dr. Charles Hoopes, and all nurses at UAB Medical Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society Pet Rescue and Adoption Center at 42200 Brooke Ave in Gadsden AL.
