Obituary

Ryan Anthony Fail, age 48, passed away April 30, 2022. He left too soon, leaving behind the dysfunctional family and friends he loved unconditionally. A memorial service for Ryan will be conducted at Gadsden, Alabama's Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, May 5th at 2:00 P.M. Everyone will probably be late now that they have to wash their own clothes.

Ryan was born in Gadsden and basically raised himself. He started running the streets of the Mill Village at the age of 7. He met his wife, Brooke Fail, when she was 18 years-old. He told countless times he got her while she was young "to raise her right". He would then say it didn't take; but he loved her anyway. They were married 19 years and she was by his side until he died.

Ryan kept the laundry done at the house and attended to the children. He was Mr. Mom. He helped his mom and tried to keep her straight. He would tell you he didn't know what Brooke, the kids, or his mom would do without him. In his death, we really don't know what they will do either. We hope they remember to feed the dog.

He was an Auburn fan and thought Aaron Rogers was an absolute Diva. He loved all of his kids. He watched a lot of NFL games but less since Harper was born. They argued over the TV and she always won. He boasted that Rylan had his attitude and he was very proud of that (the rest of his kids are more pleasant). Ryan would tell you it was his genes that made Jesse so smart. He also said Alex was too precious to live in this world.

Ryan was a longtime member of the 420 club. He loved his bud. Instead of streets of gold, we hope he is in the woods full of the finest weed.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jessie Ruth Whitt, and his father, Robert Fail, in addition to all the other dead. He is survived by his loving wife Brooke Fail, beautiful children Jesse, Rylan, Alex, and Harper; his mother Teresa Lanham, his mother-in-law Kay Higgins, Nana; his chosen father Gary, Aunt Faye, and his closest friends- Butch, Heather, and Anthony "yard boy"; (in addition to the other living).
