Funeral services will be at 1pm today at Crestwood Chapel for Ruth Walker, 81 , of Glencoe, who died September 4. Rev. J. B. Wells will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood

She was a longtime member of Louis Street Baptist Church. Retired from Etowah County Board of Education.
She enjoyed crocheting and everyone praised her wonderful cooking. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband Billy D. Walker; her parents Lillian and Lizzie Baker; son in law Jackie Harris; and sisters Lucille West and Inez Pendley ( who died just 2 hours after Ruth on Wednesday.)
She is survived by son Rodney Walker; daughter Neilda Harris; grandchildren Natasha Por, Kristen Walker, and Timeka Robertson.
Visitation will be at Crestwood Chapel today 11 until the hour of service.
