A memorial service will be held at a later date, for Mrs. Ruth McGlathery, age 88, of Gadsden, who died Friday September 2,2022. John Oliver will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery.

Ruth will be remembered as a Christian first ,loved The Lord Dearly, loved family gatherings and cooked huge meals for them. Big Alabama football  fan "Roll Tide" .Her personality was very matter of fact, you knew exactly where you stood with her.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded  in death by her husband Charles.

She is survived by daughter Charlotte(Larry) Gilchrist, sons Chuck(Penny) McGlathery, Woody(Debbie) McGlathery and Sammy McGlathery,

numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren sister Becky(John) Oliver and a large extended family.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, make donations to Alzheimer's research, or your favorite charity.
