Funeral services will be 6 pm Saturday at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. Russell "Russ" Howard age 82, of Hokes Bluff, who died Wednesday.  Allen Thornton will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home announcing.

Mr. Howard was a hard worker, retiring from Goodyear with over 35 years of service. Russ loved doing carpentry, gardening and served as a Boy Scout assistant leader for over 25 years, as well as serving in The Army National guard for over 25 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by wife Robbie "Brenda" Howard, brother Bartow and sister Nan.

He is survived by children Rusty (Jennifer) Howard, Amanda (Tim) Wilson, Robb (Wendy) Howard, grandchildren Kayley, Brenae, Aiden, Brayden and Caden, brother Roger Howard.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Boy Scout Troop #82.

Honorary pallbearers are current and former Boy Scouts of Troop #82.

The family will receive friends at the funeral Home Saturday from 4pm until the time of service.
