Funeral service will be at 2:00pm Friday November 16 at Crestwood Chapel for Ruby J. Taylor, Age 85, Gadsden, who died Wednesday November 14, 2007. Rev. Larry Garrard will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral is in charge.
Mrs. Taylor had retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber. She was a member of United Rubber Workers Local 12 and had served as Treasurer for 18 years. She was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a loving mother and wife. She is preceded in death by her Parents, her husband F.E. Taylor, her son Phil Thomason, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
She is survived by her son Ronnie (Linda) Thomason; Grandchildren Cheri (Johnny) Rieger, Traci (Brad) Crow, Jason (Michelle) Thomason, Brian Thomason, 5 Great Grandchildren; Sisters Louise Reaves and Inez Martin; Brother Leon Henley; and a number of nieces and Nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Coosa Valley Health Care and Gadsden Regional Medical Center 8th Floor.
The family requests no flowers, and would rather memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
