On January 8, 2021, Roy Lee Akridge joined his wife of 60 years, Margie Faye Akridge, in Heaven. Also waiting on him in Heaven was his daddy and mother Roy P. and Grace Akridge, brothers Donald and Jimmy Akridge, and daughter Deborah Faye Akridge.

He is survived by his wife of two years Joan, daughters Donna Akridge and Susan (Beth-Mysti) Akridge, grandchildren Deborah (Wayne) Holderfield and Jason Lumpkin, four great grandchildren Aubrie and Lalia Holderfield and Joshua and Jaxson Lumpkin, brother Ricky Akridge, two stepsons Johnny (Becky) Matthews and Todd Matthews, one stepdaughter Kelly Matthews, nine step grandchildren, and nineteen step great grandchildren.

There will be no service or visitation for the public, only for immediate family.

The family requests that no flowers or food be sent.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your charity of choice.
