Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Crestwood Funeral Home for Roudy Jones, age 51, of Gadsden who died on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Pastor Eric Reaves will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Roudy, who was lovingly refered to as "Babycakes" by his girlfriend Stacey, will be remembered as the life of the party. He was graduate of Litchfield High School class of 1989 and received his degree in Engineering from U.A.B. He loved cornhole and if you didn't think he was good just ask him. He considered himself the cornhole king and was the best at pointing out your flaws when it came to the game. He enjoyed having family and friends at the pool and was a big kid at heart. He never met a stranger and was loved by all. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend to hundreds who will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Rose Jones and grandparents W.O. and Jean Everett and Marion Edward and Grace Ellen Jones.

Roudy is survived by his son Tucker Jones, brother E.O. (Jennifer) Jones, his Babycakes Stacey Ponder, nephew Joshua Jones, stepchildren Justin (Hannah) Bonds, Taylor Bonds, and Kayleigh Ponder, and Aubrey Ponder, and grandson Peanut, as well as every young person he referred to as nieces and nephews and his faithful lab Zeus.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the U.A.B. Lung Transplant team, Dr. Willy, and his donor family who graciously extended his life.

Visitation will be on Saturday at the funeral home starting at 11:00 a.m. and lasting until the time of service.
