Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Crestwood Funeral Home for Robert S. Walker, 67, of Webster's Chapel, who passed away Friday, Sept. 12, 2014. Rev. Van Lockridge will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
He was a loving husband, daddy, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He retired from Goodyear after 32 years. He served in the Air Force for four years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Sylvia B. Walker; his parents, Robert and Hazel Walker; in-laws, John and Geneva Brown; and sister, Patricia Upton.
He is survived by his daughter, Sherry (Kevin) Welch; grandsons, Zac (Whitney) Welch, Jacob Welch; great-grandson, Eli Welch of Alexandria; sister, Brenda (Vic) Bryant; brothers-in-law, Gary Upton, Ralph (Patsy) Brown, Billy (Pam) Brown; sisters-in-law, Mary Brown and Mamie Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his nephews.
