Robert Bell Ricks (Bob Ricks) March 14, 1931 to October 4, 2017
Bob passed away in his home on October 4, 2017 in Piedmont, Alabama. He was born in Georgetown, South Carolina and was the eldest of six children. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Ruby Cribb Ricks and Hugh Ward Ricks and sibling Jean, Doreathea and Earl. Bob lived an amazing life during his 86 years. He served in the Army during the Korean War, and had a long career as an Auto Mechanic. He retired from Firestone in Gadsden, and then worked construction in Hokes Bluff. He loved being outdoors. His hobbies included gardening, fishing and cooking. He loved being with family and friends. He was a kind hearted, always smiling, happy man who will be missed by every life that he touched.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Lou Ricks, siblings: Ann and James, his children: Sherry Ricks, Jeneane Ricks Rupenthal, Allen Blankenship, Anita Blankenship, Terry Trull, Richard Trull, and Kim Lequire, his 13 grandchildren: and 13 great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and his memory will live in our hearts forever.
