Funeral service will be at 11 AM Wednesday at Crestwood Chapel for Robert Eugene "Red" McAdams, age 82, of Glencoe, who passed away Sunday November 16, 2013. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood memorial Funeral Home will direct services.

Mr. McAdams was a veteran, having served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict, and retired as a First Class Drill Sergeant with the 310 Chemical Company after 26 and a half years. He also retired from the City of Gadsden Parks and Recreation Department after 25 years. He attended The Gathering Church in Gadsden.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo McAdams; daughters Sandy Turner, Dianette (Tim) Keener, Rita (Jackie) Grant, and Vicki (Paul) Barber; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Tooley, Tim M. Keener, Tim R. Keener, Chris Keener, Jonathan Turner, and Jackie Grant.

Honorary pallbearers are the employees of the City of Gadsden Parks and Recreation Department and those from the 310 Chemical Company.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 pm until 8pm.
