Robert Sterling Lee, 81, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, April 13, 2017 at his home. His funeral service will be Sunday; April 16, 2017 at 3:30 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Saks with Rev. Randall Reeves officiating. Entombment will be at Forrestlawn Memorial Cemetery in Anniston.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, Melba Rosemary Lee; sister, Dorothy Kimbrough, daughter, Glynis Fuqua and her husband Joe, daughter, Lynne Swindle and her husband Ron; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and many close friends.
The son of Walter English Lee and Ollie Mae Azbell, he was a lifelong resident of Anniston and an active and loved member of the First Baptist Church of Saks.
Sterling was a friend to all and will be dearly missed.
The visitation will be Sunday at the church; 2 P.M. until the time of the funeral.
