Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. Robert E. Farrington, 70, of Wellington, who died Thursday, March 31, 2016. Rev. James Cohorn will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Mr. Farrington graduated from Gadsden High School and attended Snead State Jr. College and Gadsden Business College. He retired as office manager from Union Carbide. He was also a longtime member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, where he served as church organist. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jimmie Kathleen Farrington and grandparents, James and Deanie Farrington ,R.B. and Neacie Higginbotham.
He is survived by aunts, Amelia Miles of Jonesboro, Ga., Frances Higginbotham, Ruth Farrington; uncle, Walter Higginbotham; nieces, Sandra (Mark) Nichols, Austin Texas; nephew, Robert ( Bonnie) Higginbotham of Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Mark Nichols, J. P. Miles, Johnny Vinyard, Billy Rogers, Larry Easley and Jerry King.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
